Kim Beck has created Grand Opening events at the Grand Canyon and organized skywriting events in places from New York to Missouri. Her work has been shown on billboards along I70 & in auto repair lots, in botanical gardens, on rooftops along the High Line, NYC, as well as at the Walker Art Center, Carnegie Museum of Art, Smack Mellon, Socrates Sculpture Park, Warhol Museum, Art Omi & Hallwalls. She has held residencies at the MacDowell Colony, Yaddo, Sharpe-Walentas Studio Program, International Studio and Curatorial Program, Montalvo, and has received awards from ARS Electronica & Printed Matter. She lives in Pittsburgh and teaches print, drawing and photography in the School of Art at Carnegie Mellon.
